AI Skill Recommendations for Positions

Help your hiring team define more complete and relevant job requirements using AI-powered suggestions.

The Skill Recommendations for Positions feature uses AI to suggest relevant skills based on job title, job description, and current industry trends. These recommendations are automatically categorized into Hard skills, Soft skills, and Other details, helping you build comprehensive requirement sections that support better AI Skills Matching and applicant evaluation.

Activating this feature ensures your job listings are structured, inclusive, and aligned with what the market expects for each role.

Enable Skill Recommendations

To activate this feature for yourself or your team:

  1. Go to Settings > AI Assistant.

  2. Activate Skill Recommendations for Positions.

  3. Select who this should be activated for:

    • For me

    • Admin

    • Recruiter

    • Hiring manager

    • Reader

    • Custom

  4. (Optional) Add any custom prompts to guide the AI (e.g. specific tools or methods preferred in your company).

  5. Click Save.

Use Skill Recommendations in a Position

1. Open or create a new position.

2. Navigate to the Requirements step.

3. Click the Recommend skills button.

4. The system will auto-suggest skills under:

  • Hard skills (e.g. Digital marketing, Marketing strategies)

  • Soft skills (e.g. Exceptional communication, Collaborative spirit)

  • Other details (e.g. SaaS industry experience)

5. Click on any suggested skill to add it.

ℹ️ Note: Hard skills act as the base for AI Skills Matching, ensuring better applicant-job fit.

Common Issues

I don’t see the recommend skills button or it does not provide any skills.

  • Ensure the AI Assistant is enabled in your settings.

  • Confirm the position has a clear title and relevant content in the description field.

The recommended skills seem off.

  • Try adding a few keywords or context in the job description.

  • Use the custom training field in AI Assistant settings to teach the assistant more relevant content.

Additional Tips

  • Use a mix of technical and soft skills to reflect the full scope of the role.

  • Keep your skill list concise - focus on what’s critical for success in the position.

  • Make sure your job description reflects the skills here for evaluation.

  • You can edit or remove any AI-suggested skills before publishing the job ad.
