Candidate applications often include multiple documents — like resumes, cover letters, and responses to custom questions. Reviewing them all can be time-consuming.
The Structured Summary AI Assistant analyzes the entire application and generates a concise summary divided into four sections:
Highlights
Work experience
Education history
This allows hiring teams to quickly understand key applicant highlights and make faster screening decisions.
How to use the Structured Summary AI Assistant
Open the Application Card
Click on the Overview tab
Scroll to the AI structured summary section
Click the “Summarize documents” button
The AI Assistant will process the applicant's documents and auto-generate a structured summary in the Overview tab.
Notes and Tips
⚠️ Note: If the application doesn’t contain enough text (e.g., no resume or documents submitted), an error message will appear: “Not enough text found in candidate's documents for a summary.”
💡 Tip: Encourage applicants to upload both a resume and cover letter in PDF for the most accurate summary output. If they are uploaded as images, AI can't read them.
