There are several different statuses a position can have in TalentAdore. The status describes the stage of the recruitment process. In this article, we will explain what they all mean. You can search for positions based on their status on the “Positions” page by using the search filters on the left side of the screen.
Active
The position is active when it has been published and the application period has not ended. Active positions can be applied for.
Draft
The position is a draft when it's created but not yet published. A position becomes a draft when a user starts to create it and saves it for later instead of publishing.
Template
A position can be saved as a template. Created templates can be found from “Home” and “Positions” page and they are visible for every user in your organization. Note that a job ad with this status cannot be published. Instead, you should copy a template and publish the copy after necessary edits. This way the template is still saved for future needs and the copied position is used for recruitment. If you have added custom messages to the template, those messages will also be copied when copying the template. Read more about it here.
Later changes in the template are not reflected in the positions, which were created by copying.
Archived
Position can be archived when all the applications have been processed and recruitment has been ended. Archived positions can be found from “Positions” page by searching for archived positions. Applications of an archived position will be inaccessible, unless the position is unarchived. Related video interviews become closed.
Expired
Active positions automatically change to expired when the application period ends. Expired positions cannot be applied for but already received applications can be reviewed as usual.
Inactive
An Archived position turns inactive when it is unarchived. Inactive positions cannot be applied for.
Waiting to be published
If the application period of a position begins in the future and you publish the position, the status is “waiting to be published”. It will automatically become “active” on the application period start date.
Waiting for approval
When the company uses approval process in recruiting, this status will indicate that position is not yet approved by the required number of approvers.
Approved
When the company uses approval process in recruiting, this status indicates, that the position has been approved by the approvers but it hasn’t been published yet. Therefore it should be published manually. If you want that the job ads are automatically published after they have been approved, you can change this on the “Approval process” page in Company settings.
