Getting Started with Taika β¨
Step-by-Step Instructions
Enable Taika:
As an admin user, you can enable Taika for your company in [Early Access or AI Assistant page] in Settings.
Access the chat:
On every page, you can find the Chat Assistant button on the top navigation. Click on the button to open the chat panel.
Start a new conversation:
Once the chat panel is open, you'll see an option to start a new chat. Begin typing your question or request in the message input field.
Engage in multi-turn dialogue:
After you send your first message, the AI will respond.
Continue the conversation by typing your follow-up questions or comments in the same chat thread. The AI will remember the context of your current conversation.
Manage multiple chat threads:
To start a new, unrelated conversation, click the "New Chat" button on the top left corner (pen icon). This will create a separate thread.
You can view all your active and past chat threads in a sidebar or a dedicated "Chat History" section. Click on a thread title to reopen and continue that specific conversation.
Access chat history:
All your past conversations are automatically saved.
To find a previous chat, navigate to your Chat History. You can scroll through the list or use the thread titles to identify the conversation you're looking for.
Click on any past chat to load it and continue your discussion. AI will remember the context of the conversation.
π‘ You can easily copy relevant text directly from any page within the ATS into your chat. This feature is particularly useful when you need the AI to comment on, summarize, or take action based on information currently displayed on your screen.

Perform actions in the system
Use company specific context / can't yet teach company specific content.
Common Issues and Solutions
Issue | Solution |
I can't find my previous conversations. | All conversations are saved and accessible via the "Chat History" section. Please ensure you are looking in the correct area of the interface. If you still cannot find them, please contact support. |
I reached my chat limit | You will get a warning that you chat is reaching the limit. When the limit is reached, you can't write to the chat anymore. You are prompted to start an another chat, but it will not remember the context. |
The AI's responses seem repetitive or don't fully understand my request. | The AI Chat Assistant is designed for foundational dialogue. For complex data queries or actions like scheduling interviews, please use the standard ATS features. Future updates will introduce more advanced AI capabilities. |
How do I provide the AI with information about my company or specific interests? | Currently, the AI Chat Assistant does not have a dedicated feature for users to input company-specific interests or preferences directly into its knowledge base. You can, however, provide this context within each conversation by including relevant details in your prompts. For example, "Draft an email to a candidate about a Software Engineer role, focusing on our company's fast-paced startup culture." |
Additional Tips
Be specific: The clearer your prompts, the more accurate and helpful the AI's responses will be.
Use chat threads wisely: Keep related conversations within the same thread for better context. Start a new thread for entirely different topics. Name the conversations to find them later. E.g. you can use one chat for one recruitment or recruitment step.
Explore and experiment: This is a new tool! Feel free to experiment with different types of prompts to see how the AI can assist you.
