Enabling the Job Requisition Feature
Activate this feature in the settings:
Navigate to Settings > Job requisition
On Job requisition page, you'll see a toggle switch labeled "Require job requisition to open a position."
Toggle this switch to ON to enable the feature.
Once enabled, creating a new position will first require a submitted and approved job requisition.
1) Form:
If you are using a custom job form, you can customize in this view what fields you want to transfer to Job requisition and what you want to keep in the custom job form.
If you don't have a custom job form, you can only preview your job requisition form in this section.
Default requisition form includes:
Company profile
Position title
Number of hires
Internal job description
Reason for vacancy
2) Approval processes:
By default, job requisition has one-layered approval process. You can set the approvers in Approvers tab. If you need a multi-layered approval process, you can contact our support.
3) Approvers:
In approvers tab you can define who are the approvers for requisitions.
Creating and Submitting a Job Requisition
When an user needs to open a position, they will initiate a job requisition.
When the "Require job requisition to open a position" setting is enabled, creating a new position will prompt the user to start a requisition.
Users will be presented with the customized job requisition form.
Fill out all required fields accurately, providing details like the position title, number of hires, and internal job description.
Once completed, click Save on the requisition form, or send it directly for approval.
After clicking sent for approval, the requisition will be submitted for approval according to the defined approval process. Approver will see options like "Reject job requisition," "Add comment," "Request changes," or "Approve requisition" on the individual requisition page.
Managing and Approving Requisitions
Approvers and requesters can track the status and manage requisitions through different stages.
For Requesters: You can view all your submitted requisitions and their current status (e.g., Pending, Approved, Rejected) on the Job requisitions listing page.
For Approvers: You will receive email notifications when a requisition requires your approval. You can also access these via the Job requisitions section in TalentAdore.
On the individual requisition page, you can review all the details.
You have options to:
Approve requisition: Moves the requisition to the next stage or marks it as approved.
Reject job requisition: Denies the request.
Request changes: Sends the requisition back to the requester with specific feedback.
The Activities log on each requisition page provides a history of all actions taken, including who submitted, approved, or rejected it, and when.
After Approval: Once a job requisition is approved, the hiring manager or recruiter can proceed to create and publish the actual job ad. The approved requisition often serves as the foundation and justification for the job posting.
When position is opened, you can see the requisition linked to the profile in the job edit view:
