Tags are customizable labels that can be added to both applications and positions. You can manage them centrally in the Tags settings, or directly from the application and position views - depending on your user permissions.
Tags are shared across your environment, ensuring consistency no matter where they are created or edited.
Accessing the Tag Settings
Go to Settings > Tags.
Use the tabs to view either:
Applications: Tags linked to applicant profiles.
Positions: Tags linked to job postings.
Adding a New Tag from Settings
Click Add tag in the top right corner.
Enter the name of the tag and click Add tag again.
The new tag is now available in the dropdown menus in both application and position views.
Editing or Deleting a Tag
To edit: Click the pencil icon next to the tag name, modify it, and save.
The updated tag name will automatically be reflected across all existing linked applications or positions.
To delete: Click the trash icon next to the tag.
The tag will be removed from all associated applications or positions.
โน๏ธ Note: Tag edits and deletions apply system-wide. This ensures consistent labeling but should be done carefully.
Adding Tags from Application or Position View
If you have permission to create new tags:
Open any application or position.
In the Add tag... field, type a new tag name that doesn't exist yet.
Press Enter.
โ This does two things automatically:
The tag is saved and added to the application or position.
The tag is added to the main tag list in Settings for future use.
If you do not have permission to create tags:
Typing a new tag and pressing Enter will fail.
A notification will inform you that you do not have permission to add new tags.
Common Issues
Tag not appearing in dropdown menus
Make sure it exists in the correct tag list (Applications vs. Positions).
If recently added, try refreshing the page to ensure UI sync.
Cannot create a new tag from the application or position view
You likely do not have permission to add new tags. Contact your ATS admin.
Updated tag name not reflecting
Confirm the tag was edited in the Tags settings, not just renamed manually elsewhere.
Changes made in the settings update across all linked entities automatically.
Additional Tips
Use clear and consistent naming conventions for tags to keep your ATS organized.
Use the search bar in Tags settings to quickly find specific tags, especially in larger environments.
Tag usage counts are shown to help you track how frequently each tag is used.
