Introducing Anonymous Recruitment

Anonymous recruitment reduces bias by hiding candidate details, ensuring fair selection based on skills and qualifications.

Written by TalentAdore CS Team

Anonymous recruitment helps reduce unconscious bias by concealing candidates' personal information, thereby promoting fairness in the hiring process. For recruiters, it enables impartial candidate selection based solely on skills and qualifications. Candidates benefit from a more equitable process where only their talent and competence are taken into account.

Anonymous recruitment is not active by default, but it is a free add-on feature. If you would like to enable it in your environment, please contact your Customer Success Manager or send us a message.

Setting up Anonymous Recruitment

You can anonymize the recruitment pipeline stages in TalentAdore Hire as follows:

Go to the Company Settings menu and open the Recruitment flows view.

Edit the recruitment pipeline of your choice.

Activate anonymization for the desired recruitment stage by clicking the Anonymize icon on the right-hand side.

This action ensures that candidates' personal information is not visible at that stage, helping to reduce unconscious bias and promote a fairer recruitment process.

The following fields and information are hidden by default when anonymization is enabled:

  • Name

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Photo

  • Phone number

  • Email

  • Address

  • Language

  • CV

  • Attachments

Anonymization can be enabled at every stage of the recruitment pipeline. If you want to refine the level of anonymization, you can click the filter button next to the icon and select which personal details you want to hide from the application information at that particular stage.

Anonymous recruitment also automatically anonymizes the CV and Attachments. These and all other candidate details become viewable once the candidate is moved to a stage that is no longer anonymized.

What does candidate information look like when viewed in an anonymized recruitment pipeline?

In the List or Kanban view, as well as on the general overview page, the selected information is either hidden entirely or masked so that it cannot be identified.

The selected information remains hidden from all collaborators in any candidate communication, internal evaluation, and other activities where anonymization has been enabled for that recruitment stage.

Please note that in anonymous recruitment, the candidate's application history also remains hidden.
