How do I configure my personal email notifications?

Overview

This article guides you through managing your personal email notifications within TalentAdo. You can customize which events trigger notifications and how frequently you receive them directly in your inbox. This ensures you stay up-to-date with the hiring process and don't miss important updates.


Editing Notification Settings:

  1. Access Personal Settings: Click on your name or profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page. From the dropdown menu, select Personal Settings.

  2. Navigate to Notifications: In the left-hand menu, select Notifications.

  3. Select Desired Notifications: On this page, you can check the boxes for the events you wish to receive email notifications about. Below is a list of available options:

    • A new application has been submitted to a position where I am the owner/co-user.

      • Notification Frequency: You can choose to receive these notifications Immediately, Daily, or Weekly.

    • An applicant confirms an interview time.

    • I want to receive an email notification when I am @-mentioned.

    • I want to receive a notification when an applicant has edited their application.

    • I want to receive an email notification when I am added as a co-user to a position.

    • I want to receive notifications when I am added as a collaborator to a community.

    • I want to receive a notification when a job posting has been automatically published.

    • I want to receive a notification when a job posting expires.

  4. Save Settings: Once you have made your selections (by checking the boxes), click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to confirm your changes.


Common Issues

  • I am not receiving any email notifications at all:

    • Please ensure you have saved your notification settings.

    • Check your spam or junk mail folder. Email notifications from TalentAdo may sometimes be filtered there. You can add the sender's address to your list of safe senders.

    • Verify that your user role grants you the necessary permissions to receive these notifications (e.g., in some cases, notifications may only be for position owners or specific roles).

  • I am receiving too many notifications:

    • Consider changing the notification frequency to "Daily" or "Weekly" if "Immediately" is currently selected.

    • Review your notification settings and uncheck the boxes for events that are not essential for you.

  • Can an Admin user manage other users' personal notification settings?

    • Only the individual user can modify their own personal settings, such as the notification preferences mentioned in this article. As an Admin user, you can manage message settings that are sent to applicants or Talent Community members.

​Note: When a system user's permissions are revoked, a notification is always sent to that user by default, regardless of their individual notification settings.
